Isolation Simulator Update: Version 0.47 - Paths to Closure and Beyond

Hey everyone,
It's been a while since the last major push, but I'm thrilled to announce that a fresh build of Isolation Simulator is now live and available for download! If you're new here, welcome to the chamber—Isolation Simulator is an experimental psychological exploration game where you're trapped in a barren isolation room that reacts to your every move. It draws inspiration from the solitude of the COVID-19 era, evolving based on your behavior, gaze, and interactions. No two playthroughs are alike: a simple ball might appear, shadows could dance on the walls, or you might unlock vast, labyrinthine maps filled with haunting radio recordings of quarantined lives. There's no traditional goal—just endurance, curiosity, and perhaps a hidden escape if you're perceptive enough.
This game has been out for download for quite some time now, gathering dust (or should I say, echoing silence?) in its early access form. Your feedback has been invaluable in shaping it, and this update builds directly on that. I've poured a ton of hours into polishing things up, and while it's still very much a work in progress, this version feels like a big step forward toward something more cohesive.
What's New in This Update?
- A Proper Ending (Finally!): One of the biggest additions is an actual conclusion to the simulation. No more endless loops without closure—the game now has a cascade of events that can lead to an organic end, or if you're clever, that elusive hidden path to freedom. It ties into your accumulated actions and history, making each run feel more meaningful.
- Expanded Events and Redesigns: I've added several new events to keep the chamber (and the outer worlds) feeling fresh and unpredictable. Old events that felt rough around the edges have been completely overhauled—better triggers, smoother transitions, and more depth to how they respond to your behavior.
- More Options and UI Improvements: The menu system has gotten a facelift with additional UI elements for better navigation. I've also introduced new options to tweak things like sensitivity, audio levels, and experimental features, giving you more control over your isolation experience.
- Bug Fixes Galore: Stability was a big pain point before, so I've squashed a bunch of crashes and glitches. Lighting issues that made the room feel off-kilter or caused visual artifacts? Fixed. There were also some event sequencing bugs that could break immersion—those are history now.
I tested this build extensively, running through dozens of playthroughs to catch as much as possible. That said, I'm a solo dev, and no testing is perfect. There are likely still some bugs lurking in the shadows (pun intended), and the game isn't complete yet. I'm missing some planned content like additional events, more varied audio logs, and deeper behavioral adaptations. I'll be continuing development, so expect more updates down the line.
If you've been following along or just dipping your toes in, I'd love to hear your thoughts! Download the new build, dive into the darkness, and let me know what breaks, what surprises you, or what you'd like to see next. Your experiences help shape the simulation.
I've also recorded and produced new trailer, enjoy!
